Midgard
Midgard was founded in Germany in 1919 by the engineer Curt Fischer and is still manufacturing lights in Germany today. Midgard constructed the first articulated "steering lamps" - a major innovation at the beginning of the 20th century and why Curt Fischer is considered the inventor of tract lighting.
Fischer supplied Midgard lamps to the original Bauhaus school where they could be found at the desks of Gropius, Wagenfeld, Brandt, Stoelzl as well as in the Bauhaus apartments.
