Issue 17
Openhouse

This piece is part of the AAVVGG Archive and not currently part of the collection.

Inspired by the words of legendary photographer Luigi Ghirri, this issue positions between ‘atlas‘ and ‘album’: ‘A book to stay and one to go.’ We’re off to Mexico, and wake up at El Divisadero, a ranch where horses are “family”. Ileana Moro reveals to us her nomadic way of life from her house-studio in Gent. We road down to France, where we linger in the architectural curves of Villa Benkemoun, retire amidst and within the sculpture-habitacles in the garden of Villa André Bloc and dream about summer at Maison Louis Carré by Alvar Aalto. We travel far and wide, always coming to home.
